I hope you’re all having a happy holiday season! There are a lot of exciting things in store for Flipping Easy in the coming year but I wanted to provide one last useful post for 2008.
While researching the topic of buying and selling websites, I was struck by how little information is offered for free in this industry. There are more courses and eBooks out there than you can shake a stick at but only a handful of sites are offering what I would consider quality information without making you fork over a chunk of change first.
As I was sifting through a bunch of long winded sales letters and product pitch pages, I decided to start collecting all the useful posts and articles about site flipping from across the web into one long list. In the spirit of the holiday season, I figured I’d share that list with you (after checking it twice of course), so without further ado…

Amazing post, thanks for all the great information I am actually going to start my first flip January 2nd. How is the short sale looking?

Nice resource list. Quite a few articles there to read but I am interested in selling. I love the design of your blog but your dad should have used the thesis Wordpres theme and just made your design look like this. Much more search engine traffic. Just my opinion though.

@Franklin Bishop: I think we’ll be switching over to the thesis theme at some point but I’ve optimized this blog fairly well and Thesis doesn’t guarantee more search traffic automatically. It just makes it MUCH easier to optimize than any other theme I’ve seen. Thanks for the input though and I’m glad you liked the list!

Hey Ben,
Nice work! I’ve been doing alot of my own work along these lines recently and was really psyched to see that you’ve been humming along the exact same lines. I’ve got some other theories for site transactions as well. The car metaphor is a good one, and there are some really interesting applications of transaction models that seem so new for website transactions. Definitely a great topic to start defining. Hopefully we can discuss more soon. Keep it up!

Hi Ben – this is a great list and just what I need to get me started (for real) on flipping some sites. Been meaning to do it for a while and by the time I have read all of this stuff I should be good to go. Thanks.
